What we do

We develop applications that are accessible for people with and without visual impairment. To do so, we create digital spaces that are explorable visually and auditive and we research new concepts and technology. We are in constant exchange with our blind and visually impaired community when it comes to developing our accessible applications. Our principles and technology can be transferred to other areas without a problem.

We are eligible for investments!

By „INVEST – Venture capital grant“ we are deemed eligible for fundings. We are open to talk to investors – if you’re interested, feel free to contact us!

Who we are

We are the Inclusive Gaming GmbH, consisting of diploma picture and sound engineer Christian Barth (left), Stefan Wilhelm, M.Sc. computer science (right) and project manager Florian Köhler.

Our vision is a world where everyone can play on the same level.

We are supported by the Development Bank of Saxony, the SMILE Founders Association of Leipzig University and the Media Production Center of Leipzig University.

What we offer

Die Umgebung von Dreamtrip Experience visuell dargestellt: Ein virtuelles 3D Labor mit Icons, welche Soundquellen darstellen.

From concept to implementation – we offer project development in all areas. That includes ideation, conception, project planning, programming, audio and graphics production.

Accessibility included – You want to make your applications accessible to reach out to more people or to prepare for the European Accessibility Act of 2025? We modify existing applications or develop own accessivle software that gets tested with our community and fits the needs of your target group.

Strong expert network – We have a strong network of experts for all fields of accessibility, with whom we work together to develop helpful solutions online or offline for your target group.

Gamification – Using a playful approach, our concepts make it possible to get a new point of view on complex or dull topics. This way, we make them more approachable and create incentives to think about those topics.

Virtual Worlds – Do you want to transfer your museum tour into a new dimension of experience? Do you want to present your company in a unique way? We help to r your realize your project idea – as a visual world or as spatial audio experience.

Current projects

AktiMuW

We are project partner of the research project AktiMuW, together with University of Applied Sciences Anhalt, OvGU Magdeburg, MLU Halle and Hellwig Medical Supply Store. During the project, an ai based application is developed, which helps seniors and people with reduced mobility to keep their mobilty and independence. Our task is the transformation of visual environment information that are recorded by camera into an application for Smartphone and Smartwatch which are then shown to seniors in a low-threshold manner.

Zoo-Chaos

Funded by Mitteldeutsche Medienförderung, we are working on the prototype of our first complete video game. Zoo-Chaos is a rhythmic game that tells the story of a group of very musical animals. They fly to Mars, where they have to fight against robots and other dangers. Zoo-Chaos is fully accessible for blind and visually impaired players, but also attractive for players without visual impairment!

Dinonid Mobile

We adapt our video game Dinonid for the BlindShell device of the company Matapo a.s. (located in Prague), which is developed especially for blind and visually impaired people. Later, we also implement it for Android and iPhone.

Our games

Is it possible to make a game accessible „for everyone“?

Step by step we investigate the question using our child-friendly puzzle platformer „Dinonid“.
The player helps two dinos, Dinja and Schnuppi, to find one another and gets confronted with many obstacles and hurdles on the way!

Using voice over and contrast mode, the game is accessible via audio and visually at the same time. The detailed tutorial also helps non-gamers to find their way around quickly!

Our vision is to also make Dinonid accessible for people with other disabilities and to develop it into a full game!

Note: Dinonid only has a German version right now – stay tuned! 😉

How can I make three dimensional rooms immersive and walkable without visuals?

We investigate that question with our exhibition project „Dreamtrip Experience“.
With the „auditive walking simulator“ we aim to provide atmosphere and a hilarious story for the player without using visuals!
The underlying orientation system also makes it possible to find everything in the game only by hearing.
The project shows how blind gaming can be designed in the future.

The game is made for being played with controller, but you can also use your mouse and keyboard.
Headphones are needed!

Note: Dreamtrip Experience only has a German version right now – stay tuned! 😉
